There’s a new tour available in Niagara Falls.
Marc Moscato of Buffalo Bike Tours has launched Niagara Falls E-Bike tours.
For $75, Moscato meets guests at the Niagara Falls Aquarium Parking lot, provides them with Aventon Pace e-bikes and leads a ride of about 10 miles from the Aquarium to The Turtle and Goat Island, Three Sisters Island, Terrapin Point, the Underground Railroad Heritage Museum and Stedmans Bluff.
From there, the ride heads back to terra firma, visiting the Schoellkopf Elevator and pedaling onward on the carcass of Robert Moses Parkway to the suspension bridge abutment.
Next comes a visit to DiCamillo’s and a loop back along the bike path to the Aquarium.
Moscato has 10 bikes in his falls fleet. The Aventon Pace has a hub motor and more than enough range for easily riding 10 miles or so.
I joined the tour Sunday morning and functioned as sweep, trailing to be sure everyone kept up and no one dropped anything.
Most of the time we moved an easy 10 to 12 miles per hour. You can learn more or book a tour at buffalobiketours.com. Moscato also leads Bike Tours in Buffalo. Niagara Falls is an expansion.
Sunny, with a high of 90 and low of 60 degrees. Sunny for the morning, clear overnight.
I was in favor of the full removal but as usual things like fire truck, emergency access and maintenance access were wheeled out to justify keeping the road north of Findlay.
Thank you for your thoughtful comment, Brent. NY Dept. of Transportation traffic studies over the years have repeatedly established that Moses Parkway removal north of Findlay would result in only one additional vehicle every two minutes on Lewiston Road as it traverses Deveaux.
Mr. Hufnagle, thank you for continuing to fight this good fight for the citizens of Niagara Falls. Coming back to the area after many years, I've been thrilled with the changes so far to the area leading up to Findlay, and hope for more in the future.
