SUSPENDED REGISTRATION: At 5:50 p.m. Monday, a Falls officer on patrol near 15th and Pierce ran plates on a Buick and noticed a suspended registration. The driver, a Calumet Avenue woman, was also charged with driving with no insurance.
SQUATTER: Police were called to a Falls Street address at about 4 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a person coming and going and staying in a vacant residence. Officers found a bed and a room where it looked like someone was living but no suspect. They then observed a person matching the suspect’s description walking nearby. He was interviewed, charged with criminal trespass and, at police headquarters discovered in possession of burglar tools. The suspect is homeless.
PETIT LARCENY: At 5:50 p.m. Tuesday, police approached a suspected shoplifter outside Petco. She admitted taking items from Ulta Beauty without paying. Items valued at $397 were returned to the store. The 20th Street resident was charged with petit larceny.
