AAU Women scholarships availabe

You might know the American Association of University Women (AAUW) Buffalo Branch for its big annual book sale in Williamsville.

You might never have considered what they do with all the money raised.

AAUW offers a variety of scholarships up to $8,000, grants and interest-free loans, for undergraduate as well as graduate studies. A new scholarship added this year provides an option for part-time studies. All told, about $100,000 is allocated for scholarship awards this year.

Scholarships may be based on academic performance, community service, financial need, potential to succeed, and/or support of our mission.

Funds are made payable directly to the individual and may be used for any purpose and any course of study at an accredited institution. No financial information is requested for merit-based scholarships.

AAUW scholarships, grants and interest-free loans are primarily funded from the proceeds of the Annual Scholarship Book Sale, in addition to bequests and generous donors.

Most scholarship applications are due February 13, 2026.
