TRAFFIC STOP: Police on patrol on Niagara Falls Boulevard stopped a vehicle for having no front plate at about 1:13 p.m. Wednesday and charged with driver with driving without insurance.
STOLEN PLATES: A 22nd Street resident reported early Wednesday evening someone stole the plates off her Ford Escape.
DWI: A crashed car with airbag deployment was the subject of an investigation at John Daly and Rainbow Boulevard at about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday. The driver, a Center Avenue woman, told police she was on Third Street when her vehicle gave out. Shown the damage to her car, she admitted hitting something. A nearly empty liter of Barton’s vodka was located in the back seat. The suspect failed sobriety tests and blew a 0.19% BAC. She was charged with failure to notify DMV of an address change, unsafe lane change, drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle, driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI, failure to keep right and no inspection.
