SHOPLIFTING: At about 2 p.m. Wednesday, a Niagara Falls cop moonlighting at Walmart helped arrest a Pierce Avenue man suspected of petit larceny from 5 Below and Walmart.
MENACING: A man mowing on Kies Avenue at about 5 p.m. Wednesday was confronted by a neighbor with whom he has been having disagreements. The neighbor allegedly said “I will kill you!” and the victim believed and called police rather than escalating. Police, knowing the suspect had a history of being aggressive, took extra precaution, charged him with harassment, requested an order of protection of the victim and gave the suspect a ride downtown.
MENACING: Police were called to Center Avenue at about 7:44 p.m. Wednesday for a dispute. A man had gone to the address for a confrontation and, as he was leaving, allegedly pointed a gun at his victims. Police found the suspect, returned him to the scene for ID, and charged him with menacing with a weapon. No gun was reported recovered.
