It was an idyllic night in Lewiston Monday. “Beautiful” in reality as Christina Custode and band at the Gazebo on Center Street in Lewiston before a crowd of about 250.
The concert was part of a free series offered by the Lewiston Council on the Arts. Custode, backed by Lew Custode, Monkis and bass player Jim Wynn wound through a bunch of classics from her own catalogue as well as Carole King, Carly Simon, James Taylor and others.
The event precedes a busy week for LCOA, including a Thursday night fundraiser ($10 a person) for a Summer of ’69 rehearsal which precedes a Friday night show at Academy Park.
Next Monday brings a Shakespeare in the Park production of Romeo and Juliet with the music of Tom Keefer and Celtic Cross at Academy Park.

I know how he felt. No one cares about crooked DA's
Patchy rain nearby, with a high of 77 and low of 52 degrees. Don't forget your umbrella! Sunny in the morning, clear for the afternoon and evening, patchy rain nearby overnight.
Art(?) in front of the Why restaurant is absolutely the ugliest thing we have seen! It took a whole week to do it also costing my cousin who owns the Why a lot of business plus the money lost. With all the nice art on Main why do that? Just a bunch of ugly cups and nothing else that looks like anything!
Plus those white poles look like a hazard waiting to happen. Most likely will not last through the winter.
