Murder on Portage Road

(Niagara Falls, New York) On July 7th, 2025, at approximately 10:15am, the Niagara Falls

Police Department received a 911 call reporting a death investigation at 561 Portage Road.

Upon arrival at the scene, a female 79-year-old female victim was found deceased in an

apartment. Detectives from the Criminal Division and Crime Scene Unit worked quickly, and a

64-year-old male is currently in custody for 2 nd degree Murder. He is scheduled to appear in

Niagara Falls City Court on July 8th, 2025.

Detectives in the Criminal Investigation Division are actively investigating this incident and are

asking anyone with information to contact the Criminal Investigation Division at 716-286-4553.

The investigation is ongoing; the victim’s and suspect’s names are not being released at this

time.
