Niagara Falls Police Blotter

SUSPECT TURNED OVER TO BORDER PATROL: Police on patrol at 12:41 p.m. Thursday observed a vehicle near 700 Pine Ave. with a switched plate, no inspection and no registration. The driver produced a passport and two forms of identification. He told police he just purchased the car and was driving it to his residence nearby. They gave him tickets for no registration, no inspection, improper plates and no license and called border patrol which took him into custody.

AGGRESSIVE PANHANDLER: Police patrolling the vicinity of the City Market took into custody an aggressive panhandler bothering patrons of local businesses as well as motorists. (Editor’s note: Said panhandler approached the Express outside Latina’s and is said to be a regular problem in recent weeks. He has allegedly been arrested and charged more than once. The common refrain is to blame bail reform and say “get a job.”)
