MART CART THEFT: Officers observed an electric grocery cart being driven north on Portage Road with a uniformed Tops employee in pursuit at about 2:20 p.m. Monday. Police did a u-turn and found the Linwood Avenue resident driving the cart. She told police she didn’t even know she left the store and she was having a mental episode. The cart and unpaid groceries were valued at $2,530. She was taken into custody on a charge of grand larceny.

ROBBERY: A Niagara Street resident was taken into custody at 2:20 p.m. Monday on charges of petit larceny, robbery, resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration after an incident at Portage Road Tops. Police were at Tops for another incident when they observed employees fighting with a man who allegedly attempted to steal beer valued at $30.

MENACING: A patron inside a Cayuga Drive bar reported a man brandishing an open knife was bothering her, sitting near her and refusing to leave her alone at about 8 p.m. Monday. Police responded to the scene and charged an 18th Street resident with menacing.
