Island Pet Lodge Inc. will be the new dog shelter provider for 10 Niagara Falls dogs after the city council approves the contract recommended by Mayor Robert Restaino at 6 p.m. tonight in a special meeting.
Island Pet Lodge is offering 10 kennels to the city for $10,500 per month. Island Pet Lodge is at 2120 Alvin Road in Grand Island.
The letter from the mayor to the council said two other bidders for shelter services $36,805 per month and $40,000.
