CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: A Ferry Avenue visitor reported someone smashed a window with a brick at about 3:45 a.m. Monday.
TRAFFIC STOP: An officer on patrol at about 6:13 p.m. Monday conducted a traffic stop on a car lacking a front bumper and plate. The driver, a 21st Street resident was charged with operating a vehicle with no front and rear bumpers, suspended registration, no insurance and aggravated unlicensed operation.
PACKARD COURT FIGHT: An officer responded to 4300 Pine Ave. at about 7 p.m. Monday for a report of a fight. A man told them he tried to intervene in a fight between two women. He was punched, kicked and knocked to the ground.
STOLEN VEHICLE RECOVERED: Police on patrol on North Military Road at 2:15 a.m. Tuesday observed a 2003 Lexus recently reported stolen and executed a traffic stop. The driver, a MacKenna Avenue man, was charged with criminal possession of stolen property.
ILLEGAL VEHICLE: At 9:25 p.m. Tuesday, a car being driven near Packard Court and Niagara Falls Boulevard was stopped for having only one plate. The driver, a womaon with a Georgia address, was charged with no license, aggravated unlicensed operation, only having one plate, no insurance, improper plates and aggravated unlicensed operation.
UNINSURED VEHICLE: A license plate reader alerted police to a vehicle with a suspended registration at about 11 p.m. Tuesday. The Lewiston driver said his family had been paying the insurance but then checked his phone and discovered the insurance was not in effect.
PARKING LOT DAMAGE: At 1:01 a.m. Tuesday, a LaSalle Avenue resident reported his vehicle had been struck by a car on LaSalle Avenue, resulting in a broken mirror.
SHOPLIFTING: A 19th Street man was charged with petit larceny at 10:42 a.m. Tuesday after allegedly leaving Tops on Portage Road without paying for toiletries and other items valued at $78.13.
