DWI DRUGS: A 9th Street resident was stopped operating a vehicle with no front license plate, no bumper and one headlight on Highland Avenue at about 8:06 p.m. Tuesday. The driver said he borrowed the car from a friend. He failed field sobriety tests and was charged with DUI Drugs, operating without proper bumpers, inadequate headlights, no front plate, no license and no insurance.
DUI DRUGS AND ALCOHOL: Police responded to a report of a suspected intoxicated driver at about 11:20 p.m. Tuesday. A patron at Seneca Onestop said the suspect vehicle had bumped his car from behind and fled the scene. He followed and observed the car strike a curb causing sparks to fly. A 2002 Lexus was located on Ferry Avenue with a man in the driver seat with his pants undone and a woman in the rear seat. He told police he was glad they arrived and said the woman had climbed in the backseat in an attempt to “get with him.” The woman, a Fairfield Avenue resident, was drooling with shallow respiration and unresponsive. Her skin tone indicated analgesic narcotic use. The man from the car said they had both consumed vodka but he did not know if she had taken anything else. She was taken to Niagara Falls Memorial for treatment. Two vials of blood were drawn. Officers went to the suspect’s home address. Police went to the suspect’s home address where her mother informed them she had warned about the dangers of drinking and driving. Charges placed included DWI, DWI Drugs and drinking alcohol/using cannabis in a motor vehicle.
FIGHT: A Centre Court resident was charged with 3rd degree assault and criminal mischief after he aggressively confronted a patron outside Seneca Onestop at about 6:14 p.m. Wednesday.
