WARRANT: An officer on patrol at about 3:30 p.m. Saturday on Portage Road observed a man known to be wanted on a warrant for failure to appear to answer charges of disorderly conduct from February. The suspect was arrested without incident.

STOLEN PROPERTY: A Cedar Avenue resident was taken into custody after he admitted stealing a television and Roku from a woman who lives in the same building. He was charged with petit larceny at about 8:01 a.m. Friday.

SHOPLIFTING: Officers were called to TJ Maxx on Niagara Falls Boulevard at about 2:51 p.m. Saturday for a report of suspected shoplifters leaving in a maroon vehicle. Two Buffalo women, both 28, were charged with petit larceny. One gained an additional charge for attempting to use a false ID.

SHORTY’S DISTURBANCE: A weekly brunch at Shorty’s, 2626 Pine Avenue ended with two men, 23 and 24 being charged with disorderly conduct, failure to disperse and resisting arrest. One suspect was from Medina, the other from Rochester. The owners of Shorty’s said the weekly event ends at 6 p.m. and patrons are asked to leave. When police were called to the disturbance, about 50 people were milling around outside. They ordered to disperse. When the crowd failed to comply, officers called for backup and deployed pepper spray balls onto the ground to make hanging out unpleasant. According to social media accounts, the suspects were fighting. The brunch event has allegedly been causing a weekly disturbance for neighbors.
