DWAI DRUGS: A car driven by a 45-year-old Weston Avenue suspect was found crashed against the rear of another vehicle outside Seneca One Stop on Niagara Street at about 3:35 a.m. last Wednesday. The driver was asleep at the wheel. The car was in drive. Officers awakened the driver who was at first unresponsive and, asked to put down a window, put down the wrong one. The driver had a slight odor of alcohol and was unable to form logical statements. The driver failed field sobriety tests. He admitted to police he was under the influence of suboxone. The suspect told the report writing several times that he deserved it and he was “fucking fucked up man.” He blew a 0.0 on the Breathalyzer. The drivers license had 13 revocations and 3 DWAI’s since 2016. He was arrested and charged with felony DWAI drugs, felony aggravated unlicensed operation, unsafe movement of a stopped vehicle, seatbelt violation, felony DWAI drugs with 3 convictions in the prior 15 years, no insurance, aggravated unlicensed operation and failure to notify of an address change.
ANIMAL ABUSE: A Falls Street resident, 49, was served with a warrant charging her for failure to register with the Niagara County Animal Abuse registry as required by the court.
ANIMAL ABUSE: A Third Street resident, 26, was served with a warrant charging her for failure to register with the Niagara County Animal Abuse registry as required by the court.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: Police put a woman in the back of a patrol car following a domestic dispute at about 1:30 p.m. last Thursday. She became irate anc kicked out the plastic shield in the patrol car, causing $1,000 in damage and being charged with criminal mischief.
SHOPLIFTING: A Falls police officer moonlighting as Walmart security was alerted to an employee placing items in a backpack which had not been purchased. She was brought to the loss prevention office, charged with petit larceny and fired.
WARRANT: Police were called to an 18th Street address to assist a citizen at about 1:18 a.m. last Friday. The 26-year-old resident was highly intoxicated and unable to make sense. Police took her into custody on an outstanding warrant from North Tonawanda.
WARRANT EXECUTION: Police pulled over a vehicle on Falls Street for an expired registration at about 1:20 a.m. Friday and took two of the occupants, a 41-year-old Buffalo man and a 38-year-old Lakeview resident into custody on outstanding warrants.
