CHASE AND CATCH: Officers on patrol on Pine Avenue at about 2 p.m. Friday recognized a 21-year-old Rochester man known to be wanted on a warrant and attempted to approach. The suspect drove down an alley, left his vehicle, hopped a fence with police in pursuit and ditched a gun. Multiple officers were involved. The suspect has a narcotic trafficking history and is known to carry illegal firearms. He was continuing to flee until a K9 bit him on the leg and police hit him with a Taser. The suspect was charged with resisting arrest and criminal possession of a loaded weapon, a Class C felony. AMR was called to treat the dog bite.

STABBING: A 29-year-old Linwood Avenue woman was charged with assault with a weapon at 4:18 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 22 after police were called to a crime scene where a woman was bleeding from the abdomen. The victim is the mother of a child fathered by the suspect’s current boyfriend.

SUSPECT WITH GUN: At about 2:30 p.m. Monday police were called to a 15th Street address for a report of a man with a gun. A woman said she had been threatened with a firearm by a 41-year-old Garden Avenue man who had allegedly approached the address and forced his way inside even after he was told he was unwelcome. The suspect was charged with 2nd degree menacing with a weapon. A large quantity of cash was taken from the suspect by police.

WALGREENS FIGHT: Officers were called to Walgreens Pine Avenue at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday for a report of a man with a gun. Apparently, the suspect had gone to Walgreens to pick up his girlfriend who was involved in a fight with other employees. The man was taken into custody on a charge of assault with intent to cause injury.

SHOPLIFTER: Police were called to Hyde Park Boulevard Family Dollar for a report of a shoplifter at about 9:15 p.m. Thursday. The 41-year-old suspect fled the scene but was located by police in possession of laundry soap valued at about $42. The suspect was known to police from previous incidents.

WARRANT: An officer standing outside 7/11 Pine Avenue at 2:20 a.m. Friday recognized a woman wanted on a failure to appear warrant and took her into custody.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Police were called to an Old Falls Street address at about 3 a.m. Friday for a report of a suspect with a gun. They were attempting to investigate when a woman on the scene interfered and became aggressive. She was arrested on charges of resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration and criminal mischief, intentionally damaging government property, an officer’s body cam mount.
