The new path into Artpark from the top of the escarpment in Lewiston is nearly done.
Workers on the scene last week were unaware if it will open this year or wait until spring.
Signage at the scenes asks cyclists to walk their bikes. The switchbacks on the trail appear so tight walking might be the only way to navigate.
Meanwhile, over by Prospect Point, work is progressing on the Crow’s Nest stairs with heavy equipment perched atop the gorge and workers being lowered by basket and rope into the gorge.
The viewing platform by the Maid of the Mist is open. On Goat Island, the Cave of the Winds is still open. The bad news is only one deck remains for winter. The good news is it is only $8 to visit.
Also, at Three Sisters Island someone has been feeding the birds again and they will eat out of your hand.
