Niagara Falls business grants available

Applications are being accepted for a Small Business Property Improvement grant program in the downtown area of Niagara Falls as well as the Suspension Bridge Neighborhood and Little Italy.

Matching reimbursement grants of up to $100,000 are available for development projects excluding short term rental. The project is being administered through NFC and USA Niagara Development.

Heike Jacob of Highland Planning presented the program at a Coffee Club held Thursday morning at Red Door Real Estate in Niagara Falls.

Funds are available for site acquisition, demolition, remediation of existing property and new equipment purchase.

Grant approvals are based on feasibility, viability, financing and permits and the work has to be done before reimbursement can be received.

The program will run through the first half of 2025 on a first-come, first-served basis.

Jacob is working with NFC is the city’s development arm. Tom Tedesco is the executive director.
