GRAND LARCENY: A man staying at a Buffalo Avenue address reported someone smashed the window on his vehicle Monday/Tuesday overnight and stole a stereo valued at $4,000.
GRAFFITI: A woman watching after a Lindbergh Avenue property reported someone spraypainted graffiti on the fence sometime between Sunday and Tuesday.
TRAFFIC STOP: Officers on aggressive traffic detail observed a vehicle traveling 35 mph in a 25 mph school zone on Hyde Park Boulevard at 12:40 p.m. Tuesday. William Smith, 35, of 4200 Pine Ave. was arrested and charged with speeding in a school zone, no insurance and suspended registration.
TRAFFIC STOP: While police were busy with the previous call, another vehicle sped by, 39 mph in a 25 mph zone. Officers executed a traffic stop and charged Mikayla Beasley, no info available with speeding, driving without a license and alcohol/cannabis in a motor vehicle. A passenger, Curtis Ricks, 35, of Buffalo, tried to leave the scene, made himself vomit after apparently chugging liquor and was detained on warrants from Hornell.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: Virgil Harris, 61, of 1110 19th St. was charged with criminal mischief at about 2:40 p.m. Tuesday when he allegedly damaged a vehicle by striking it with his cane.
STEREO STOLEN: A car stereo was stolen from a vehicle parked on Pine Avenue Tuesday/Wednesday overnight.
LARCENY: At about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, a woman who may have left her vehicle unlocked reported someone stole prescription meds valued at $20 from the parking lot at Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital.
STOLEN VEHICLE: A man dropping his child at his baby mama’s house at about 8:40 p.m. Wednesday in the 1200 block of Ferry Avenue reported he left his keys in his car and someone drove off. Items lost with the car included 4 credit cards, ID and $1,500 in cash.
TRAFFIC STOP: Police on patrol on Buffalo Avenue at about 2:43 a.m. Thursday observed a vehicle with switched plates and conducted a traffic stop. Sonny Zimmerman, 44, of 742 Pierce Ave. was charged with driving an unregistered vehicle, driving with a suspended registration, no inspection, improper plates and no insurance.
TRAFFIC DISPUTE: A bicyclist riding on Ferry Avenue reported a van cut him off, the driver exited the vehicle, took a swing at him and attempted to pepper spray him. The cyclist was uninjured in the incident at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
TRAFFIC STOP: Police on patrol on Ferry Avenue at about 5:40 p.m. Thursday were alerted to suspended registration by a plate reader and executed a traffic stop. Wayshieka Burch, 33, of 531 22nd St. was charged with no insurance, aggravated unlicensed operation and operating with a suspended registration.
STOLEN WALLET: A man patronizing Laundry Lounge on Niagara Falls Boulevard reported someone stole his wallet from an unlocked vehicle at about 8:45 p.m. Thursday.
STOLEN ID, CARDS: A man reported someone took his ID and credit cards sometime Thursday from his unlocked vehicle at Rapids Bowling Center.
DWI: Officers on patrol on on Ferry Avenue observed a motorcycle fail to stop at a stop sign at about 1:54 a.m. Friday. Damon Fountain, 31, of A Street was followed an observed allegedly failing to signal a turn and swerving through a yard before taking off. Police activated lights and attempted a traffic stop. The bike took off on Walnut Street and was paced at 60 mph in a 30 mph zone. Fountain was found on the bike in a parking lot on Main Street and was charged with DWI, 10 traffic charges, no insurance, no inspection, aggravated unlicensed operation, and no registration.
ROBBERY: A man riding his bike in the 400 block of 18th Street at about 2:20 a.m. Friday was jumped by a couple thugs who asked why he was riding on their street, punched him repeatedly as well as thumping him with a hard object and stealing his bicycle.
