BURGLARY: Police were called to a 15th Street residence at about 9:30 a.m. Thursday for a report of a burglary. Kyle Lorence, 58, homeless, was charged with burglary and criminal mischief.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY: A man walking near 24th Street and South Avenue at 11:30 a.m. Thursday was tapped on the shoulder by an unknown man who tried to stab him with a fixed-blade hunting knife. The knife sliced his jacket. He attempted to punch the assailant in the face. His jacket was valued at about $100.

WEAPON AND RESISTING: Police on patrol on 19th Street near Ashland at about 5:44 p.m. Thursday, observed James Jordan, 53, of 1455 Ferry Ave. riding a bicycle with what looked like a gun tucked in his waistband. When Jordan saw he had been observed, he allegedly pulled his shirt over the firearm. Officers called for backup and began following. With another officer on the scene, police attempted to execute a stop. Jordan fled. Officers caught him and ordered him to a prone position. The gun laid on the ground nearby. He said “it’s just a bb gun.” It was indeed, an imitation black Glock revolver. In the report, officers wrote “throughout my experience, it is common for individuals to use imitation pistols to commit felonies. All of the factors and circumstances observed in Jordan’s behavior, mannerisms, movements and proximity to gun-related high-crime areas support unlawful use of a firearm. Two often, authentic-looking imitation pistols are used in committing various crimes. Jordan was charged with criminal possession of a weapon with intent to use and resisting arrest.

JUMPED: A man walking to the Village Gate near 19th and Niagara was jumped by a trio of young men who kicked and punched him about midnight, Friday before fleeing the scene. A nearby resident observed the incident.

UNCOOPERATIVE SUSPECTED BURGLAR: Officers on patrol at 1:16 a.m. Friday on Main Street observed a man matching the description of a suspect in recent burglaries jaywalking. Officers stopped to talk to him. He was uncooperative, claiming his name was Al W. Burton, 36 and refusing to give more information. Burton was carrying a backpack containing 2 flashlights, a box cutter and a hatchet. Burton was charged with jaywalking, obstructing governmental administration and criminal possession of a weapon.

BROTHERS BUSTED: Police reported to the scene of a suspected fight at 4:22 p.m. Friday in the 2000 block of 18th St. and attempted to disperse the crowd. Two people refused to leave the scene, Andrew Rutland, 20, and Darrin Rutland, 22 of Pretoria Street. Both were charged with disorderly contact, obstructing traffic.

PUNCHED IN A WHEELCHAIR: A woman in a wheelchair near Niagara and 19th at about 8:30 p.m. Friday reported she asked a shirtless young man to let her pass. He punched her in the face, knocking her from the chair and giving her a black eye. The suspect fled the scene but left behind his phone.

ROBBERY: Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Willow Avenue at about midnight Saturday near where they encountered a bleeding white male with blood running down his face and a busted lip. The suspect said he was hanging with a couple dudes and at some point they decided to attack him. His Android phone and wallet were taken and he could only give incoherent, vague details about what happened. He was transported via ambulance to Mount St. Mary’s.

TRESPASSER: A resident of 2700 Lockport St. reported someone entered her home about 2:46 a.m. Saturday. When she heard the intruder, she went downstairs and scared him away. Nothing was taken.

BURGLARY: A next door neighbor reported her garage and car interred at about the same time. Nothing was taken.

BIKE TAKEN: A young man shopping at Raymart Sunoco at around 8 a.m, Saturday reported someone stole his bicycle which is valued at $300.

SHOPLIFTING: Darain Cruz-Rodriguez, 34, of Packard Court was charged with petit larceny from Walmart at about 3:30 p.m. Friday. The suspect was wanted on a failure to appear warrant as well as the alleged larceny

TRESPASS: Raymon Wall, 54, of 600 Cayuga Drive was arrested on a charge of criminal trespass after allegedly causing a scene at about 8 p.m. Saturday at Niagara Falls Boulevard McDonald’s which he had previously be banned from.

SHOPLIFING: An employee of Hyde Park Family Dollar observed an unknown male take 3 Yankee candles valued at a total of $20 at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday. He left without paying.

CAR KEYED: A worker at the Niagara Falls Boulevard Tim Hortons reported someone keyed her car some time Friday morning.

CIGARETTES TAKEN: Hyde Park Boulevard Sunoco was burglarized by someone who smashed the front door and stole about $980 of cigarettes sometime early Sunday morning.

BIKE STOLEN: Sunday morning a 22nd Street resident reported someone stole a bicycle off the porch.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Officers investigating a stolen vehicle on Michigan Avenue at about 12:15 a.m. Monday were approached by Paul Fields, 39, of 761 8th St. approached the victim and screamed she was a liar. He refused to calm down and was taken into custody on existing charges with the addition of disorderly conduct.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: A shed was damaged at Niagara Catholic with several holes made. The damage was reported Sunday. Surveillance video showed a man with a gun.

TRAFFIC STOP: Police on patrol on Niagara Falls Boulevard observed a vehicle with switched plates. Jason Mantione, 44, of Loretta Street in Tonawanda was charged with no license and improper plates at about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon
