CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: Officers were called to an address in the 9400 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard where someone reported 3 tires were slashed in Sunday into Monday.
PARKING DISPUTE: Officers responded to the Niagara Falls Post Office at about 11:15 a.m. Monday for a report of harassment. A man threw a punch at another driver in a dispute about parking and then drove away.
IDENTITY THEFT: A resident went to the Niagara Falls Fire Department on Hyde Park Boulevard to report someone in Georgia and Virginia has used his personal information in an attempt to take multiple loans in the last few weeks. The citizen was able to freeze his credit.
ROBBERY: At about noon, Wednesday a known shoplifter entered Target and left without paying for goods valued at $79.04.
JEEP SCRATCHED: A resident of the 200 block of 72nd Street reported over the last week or so someone scratched his Jeep which he parks on the street. Damage was estimated at $300.
WANDERING TODDLER: Police responded to a Cleveland Avenue address where a 2-year old was wandering in the street at about 9 a.m. Tuesday and attempting to get back in a house. Police found an open sider door and woke a 10-year old sleeping inside. A phone for the children’s father was located. He left at 8 a.m. to go to work and left the door unlocked for a sitter who did not show. The children’s mother was working in Buffalo. CPS was called. The dad was issued a ticket for endangering the welfare of a child.
PLAYING WITH MATCHES: Multiple burn marks were left on the slide at the Boys and Girls Club on 17th Street sometime Tuesday morning. Damage was estimated at $2,000.
CAR VANDALIZED: A resident of the 800 block of 20th Street reported he suspected juveniles who play in the alley were responsible for smashing the windshield and damaging the T-top on his 1983 Firebird.
NEIGHBOR DISPUTE: Police responded to an address in the 1100 block of Niagara Avenue at about 1 a.m. Wednesday. A woman said her neighbor, whom she fears, was banging on her door. Rather than answering, she put her phone under the door to video who it was. The person took the phone. Police knocked on the neighbor’s door but the person would not open the door and denied the theft.
