The owner of a vacant hotel in Niagara Falls has announced plans for a $16 million remodel that will transform the building into a rock-and-roll themed destination. Live-USA Incorporated, aims to create a luxury hotel experience with a restaurant, bar, and live music venue.
The 80-room building, located at 472 Main St. will be reimagined as Hotel Live!, a haven for music enthusiasts. The vacant property most recently housed students here from Europe on summer work visas.
The first portion of the project is already underway and involves demolition of the helicopter pad and construction of a helium balloon attraction that will take guests 400 feet in the air.
Live-USA Incorporated is seeking $2.12 million in tax breaks from the Niagara County Industrial Development Agency (IDA). The company's application to the IDA outlines its commitment to revitalizing the hotel and creating a unique experience for visitors.
According to the application, every hotel room will undergo a renovation. Additionally, a brand-new music venue and restaurant will be added to the site, providing a space for live performances and culinary delights.
The project is is expected to generate 32 full-time and 52 part-time jobs.

Not so sure about 90%, but those tournaments which target the out of towners spend a pretty penny when they're here between lodging and meals during the off season. Hockey is arguably the most expensive sport to play and the parents of kids on these travel teams are generally pretty well off.
