SHOPLIFTER: Police were called to Target at about 6:30 Thursday for a report of a shoplifter. Items valued at $204 were taken by a recognized thief in a known vehicle.

GRAND LARCENY: A misplaced debit card was used multiple times at 7/11 on Niagara Falls Boulevard. Items valued at $227 were taken late Thursday and early Friday.

TOWED: An abandoned vehicle was towed from the 700 block of 13th Street early Thursday morning.

BROKEN WINDOW: A resident of the 600 block of 67th Street reported someone smashed a window at about 11 p.m. Thursday.

TRAFFIC STOP: Police on patrol on Ferry Avenue at about 11:50 a.m. Friday observed a vehicle being driven by Abdullah Omar, 26, of 3600 Ferry Ave. traveling at a high rate of speed. Omar allegedly became irate and began yelling at police, calling them derogatory names. He was charged with speeding, reckless driving, failure to obey a police officer, failure to use a designated lane and resisting arrest.

TRAFFIC STOP: Officers on Pine Avenue reported observing a gray SUV run the redlight at 36th and Pine at 1:46 a.m. Saturday. Wisam Attia, 22, of Amherst was charged with traffic violation redlight and aggravated unlicensed operation.

ROBBERY: At about 1:35 a.m. Saturday, 3 suspects entered an apartment in the 500 block of Memorial Parkway, robbed a resident of his Playstation 5, and shot him in the leg.

DOGFIGHT: A McKoon Avenue dogsitter reported she let a pug into the backyard when a neighbor’s pitbulls hopped a 6 foot fence and attacked at about 4:30 p.m. Saturday. The attacking dogs owner retrieved her pets. The pug appeared uninjured.

TRAFFIC STOP: Police observed a vehicle in the 400 block of Main Street operating without an inspection sticker and executed a traffic stop. Antonio Cook, 33, no address available, was charged with no inspection, aggravated unlicensed operation, operating with a suspended registration and no insurance.
