Niagara Falls Police Blotter

ATV PROBLEMS: An officer on patrol in the vicinity of Rodeway Inn on Niagara Falls Boulevard observed two people riding on a minibike which took off before a traffic stop could be initiated at about 6:40 p.m. Thursday. The passenger hopped off. Police kept looking for the bike but did not give chase. The bike reappeared and collided with the side of the patrol vehicle before. The minibike and driver escaped.

SHOPLIFTING: Police were called to Walmart at about 5 p.m. Thursday for a report of a shoplifter. Dean Fix, 54, homeless, had attempted to leave the store without paying for Dove soap and fishing gear. The items were valued at $75.57. He was charged with petit larceny.

PETIT LARCENY: Police received a walk in complaint from a Seneca Niagara Casino gambler upset over losing a $650 voucher last Sunday. Casino security said they would turn video over to police if the victim filed a complaint.

MOWER AND BLOWER TAKEN: Police responded to 1415 Pine Avenue on Thursday where a property owner reported 6 windows broken and a snowblower and mower taken from an unlocked garage.
