Nix opens wing restaurant

He seems to be the man of a thousand ideas for the good of the community, even as the walls crumble and jail beckons. Demetreus Nix seems to find a new venture at every turn.

His latest is N-Town Wings, in the former Brodie’s at 2440 Pine Ave.

The menu is simple. Wings. Fried fish. Fries and fried rice.

If you are trying to eat healthfully, this is not the place.

We ordered 10 wings lemon pepper hot and fried rice for dinner Wednesday. It was $19 and change.  The fried rice was excellent. The wings were just spicy enough

Nix called to say our order was ready as I pulled up on Pine Avenue. As I walked in he greeted "I hung up and said 'that dude sounds happy'" he said when he recognized me. If I have to have a rep, that's a good one.

I asked about healthier options. He said Uniquia Lewis may be putting together a vegan option for Thursdays. Healthy, colorful flavorful food is something I crave.
