FOUND ASHES: Police were called to Beaver Homes on Niagara Falls Boulevard after someone found a pair of wooden boxes containing ashes with names marked on them. Officers took custody of the property shortly after 7 a.m. Tuesday.
DEAD PUPPY: A couple walking on the trail at LaSalle Waterfront Park called police to report finding a box containing a dead puppy shortly after noon, Tuesday. Foul play was not suspected.
MENACING: Roger John, 66, of 3206 Jerauld Ave. was charged with menacing with a weapon after he allegedly yelled racist words and threatened a dog walker with a shotgun at about 7:15 p.m. Tuesday. The shotgun was confiscated.
