Army Corps to host nuke meeting

The USACE Buffalo District, in a blizzard of acronyms that could only come from the government, will host a meeting to discuss NFSS from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 23 at the Lewiston Senior Center.

The public will have a chance to meet members of the integrated technical office for the Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program, Niagara Falls Storage Site.

The site, off Balmer Road and adjacent to the Chemical Waste Management closed hazardous waste facility, was used to dispose of radioactive waste related to World War II.
