CASH TAKEN: A woman requested $30 from the self checkout at Portage Road Tops and forgot to take it at about 7:20 Wednesday. Someone stole it.
STOLEN PASSPORTS: A Sheraton guest reported sometime between 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday morning someone entered her unlocked vehicle and took 3 passports and $25 in Canadian cash. Her son left it unlocked.
CARDS TAKEN: A resident of the 100 block of 70th Street reported credit cards were taken from her unlocked vehicle early Friday and had been used in several stores.
ASSAULT: An irate customer unhappy about not being allowed to return a bar of Irish Spring soap to 7/11 on Niagara Street at about 10:30 a.m. Friday threw the soap at the clerk, striking him in the eye.
SHOPLIFTING: Asia Finley, 35, of Lancaster, Ca. was charged with petit larceny at Super Walmart after she called 911 to complain store security was harassing her at about 1:45 p.m. Friday. Finley allegedly failed to scan items valued at $41.45 while using the self checkout.
ITEMS TAKEN: Unlocked vehicles on the 500 block of 70th Street were entered in the Thursday/Friday overnight. Items valued at $1,200 were taken including a pair of watches.
STABBING: A resident walking home from a Hyde Park Pizzeria was asked for a cigarette by a panhandler at about 3 a.m. Saturday. The panhandle became aggressive. The confrontation escalated. The resident was stabbed in the groin. The bum fled. A neighbor transported the victim to the hospital.
UNLOCKED VEHICLE: A guest at Buffalo Avenue Holiday Inn reported he left his vehicle unlocked Friday night and someone took about $15 in loose change and a checkbook.
SMASHED WINDOW: Someone smashed the rear window of a vehicle parked in the 1600 block alley of Ferry Avenue sometime in the Saturday/Sunday overnight. A brick was found nearby.
STOLEN KIA: A guest at Wingate by Wyndham reported someone stole their Kia rental car from the parking lot on the Saturday/Sunday overnight.
STOLEN PASSPORTS: Thee passports were taken from a rental car left unlocked on the Saturday/Sunday overnight.
