If you are reading this, you are probably already in the Falls but a company out of New York City is offering a vintage train ride from Grand Central Station to a siding on Lockport Road for 3,990 per person.
The Solar Eclipse Limited Special will be able to accommodate 18 overnight guests in 6 Master Suites (with toilet, sink and shower annex en-suite) and 3 double bedrooms (toilet & sink en-suite with shower-restroom at end of hallway).
On Sunday April 7, 2024 Private Pullman Car BERLIN will depart Moynihan Train Hall just past 10 AM on the rear of Amtrak Empire Service Train 281 enroute along the beautiful Hudson River on our way to Albany where Private Car BLUE RIDGE CLUB will be added for the remainder of the journey to Niagara Falls, NY.
While enroute a Chef will prepare and serve both a lunch and dinner. The arrival at Niagara Falls Amtrak Station is estimated to be 7:35 PM. On arrival at Niagara Falls Station the switch crew will uncouple the cars from the Amtrak train and place them in the siding at 2700 Lockport Road. Our guests will stay onboard both Sunday night and Monday night.
On Monday April 8, 2024 breakfast will be served onboard BLUE RIDGE CLUB.
The Solar Eclipse will begin at 2:04 PM ET; totality will occur at 3:18 PM and last for 3 minutes and 31 seconds. The eclipse will conclude at 4:31 PM. Weather Disclaimer: You need clear skies to have the full eclipse experience, with a clear view of the Sun and Moon. However, the eerie daytime darkness associated with eclipses is still noticeable with cloud cover.
On Tuesday, April 9, 2024 the train will depart on Empire Service Train 284 at 6:00 AM bound for NY Penn Station. Breakfast will be served onboard BLUE RIDGE CLUB at 8:00 between Buffalo and Rochester. All passengers will move to the BERLIN prior to the stop in Albany, as the BLUE RIDGE CLUB will be uncoupled from our train.
As the train departs Albany-Rensselaer, Lunch will be served in order to enjoy the scenery along the Hudson River.
The arrival at Moynihan Train Hall (New York Penn Station) is scheduled for 3:45 PM where guests will bid a fond Adieu.
