SHOPLIFTER: Police were called to 810 Portage Road at 9 a.m. Tuesday after a man stole two comforters valued at $50 each.

SHOPLIFTER: Police responded to a liquor store at 8438 Niagara Falls Blvd. for a report of a shoplifter at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday and charged Michael Craig, 56, of 9309 Cayuga Drive with petit larceny after store personnel allegedly caught him attempting to leave without paying for a bottle of Bailey’s Irish cream valued at $22.99.

SHOPLIFTER: Police were called to 8735 Niagara Falls Blvd. for a report of a shoplifter who stuffed his coat with a quantity of snack food at 11:35 a.m. Tuesday. He returned to tell a worker “I’m coming back to kill you.”

SHOPLIFTER: Michael Ramos, 30, of 1004 19th St. was charged with petit larceny at about 2:40 p.m. Tuesday after Walmart personnel flagged down a passing police car to say Ramos was about to do a pushout of a cart containing a heater and 4 propane tanks.

JAYWALKING: Police arrested Justin Gabby, 35, of 8710 Niagara Falls Blvd. after he was observed walking in the driving lane and then crossing diagonally near Autozone at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday.

DWI ACCIDENT: Police charged Dorothy McLymore, 71, of 1A Jordan Gardens with DWI and leaving the scene of an accident as well as imprudent speed, following too closely after a crash on 11th Street at about 8:20 p.m. Tuesday. McLymore’s Jeep allegedly struck a van with five occupants. She failed field sobriety tests and tested .15% BAC and driving left of pavement markings.

WEAPON FOUND: Police on patrol on Ontario Avenue at about 2:39 a.m. Wednesday were alerted by a plate reader to insurance not in effect. Kevin Cole, 56, of 1522 13th St. During the investigation, police noticed a firearm in plain view on the driver’s side of the vehicle. Cole was charged with felony criminal possession of a weapon, a loaded firearm, no inspection, aggravated unlicensed operation, suspended registration, alcohol/cannabis in a motor vehicle on a highway, imprudent speed and no seatbelt.
