ROBBERY: A cab driver was called to 417 19th St. for a fare at about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. The cabbie was robbed of $190 at knifepoint and sustained a hand wound for which he denied treatment.
STRUCTURE FIRE: Police responded to 2217 Woodlawn Ave. for a housefire. Firefighters were on the scene. The fire was already extinguished. Damage was limited to the kitchen. A greasefire was the cause.
TOOLS STOLEN: A resident of the 200 block of 68th Street reported sometime between January 10 and 16th someone stole tools from his garage. The items taken were valued at about $6,500.
PURSE TAKEN: A woman entered the Niagara Falls Boulevard 7/11 at about 11:30 Tuesday night. When she returned 5 minutes later, the drivers side window was smashed and her purse was missing.
PITBULL BITES: A resident of the 8800 block of Point Avenue reported his rescue pitbull, which he has had for about a year, attacked him after he attempted to get it to stop jumping on his daughter. He had severe lacerations to both hands and wrists and was advised he would need to surrender the animal.
LARCENY: A guest at Wingate by Wyndham on Rainbow Boulevard reported someone entered his vehicle last Friday/Saturday overnight, possibly through a faulty door and took a winter coat valued at $200 in addition to $200 in Canadian cash a chapstick and a pack of gum.
ILLEGAL VEHICLE: Police patrolling the 1800 block of Pine Ave. were alerted by a plate reader to a vehicle without insurance. Justina Gresart, 34, of 526 19th St. was charged with failure to deliver a license/registration, no insurance and driving with a suspended registration.
STOLEN VEHICLE: A resident of the 600 block of 16th Street reported the alleged theft of her vehicle by Tyler Morford, 33, of 9029 Zito Drive. Onstar located and disabled the car. Police responded to the scene and took Morford into custody on charges of criminal possession of stolen property and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Two passengers with Morford, Ashly Peace, 31, of Grand Island and Thomas Frazier, 45, of Crick Court Niagara Falls were charged with criminal possession of stolen property.
