Niagara Falls Americans replace the Power at Sal Maglie Stadium

The new baseball team will now be under the same ownership, Can-Am Sports, as the Batavia Muckdogs and Elmira Pioneers in the

Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League.

The summer league attracts college-level players from across the region and has replaced the lowest level of minor league baseball.

Niagara County Community College and D’Youville University will also call the stadium home next summer.

The field underwent a $1.4 million makeover last year with American Rescue Plan funds being used to renovate the field and add artificial turf.

The lighting and scoreboard remain equivalent to that of a decent high school and while the city has been quick to accommodate NCCC and D’Youville, so far the high-level travel baseball youth teams have not been.
