BURGLARY: A resident of the 900 block reported someone entered his apartment sometime around dawn Thursday and stole $350 from his wallet.
DISABLED CAR TOWED: A vehicle with a missing front wheel was parked blocking a Hyde Park driveway sometime Thursday morning. It was towed from the scene.
TRESPASS: Late Thursday afternoon, police told Gregory Mitchell, 61, homeless to leave Pine Avenue McDonalds and that if he returned he would be arrested and charged with trespass. He returned and got a free ride to 1925 Main St. and an appearance ticket.
BIKE STOLEN: A man shopping at the Main Street Citgo reported someone objected to where he was parking his bike. He parked where the man suggested. When he came back out his bike was gone. The man offered to find his bike for $10. He called police instead. The Schwinn mountain bike was valued at $150.
WEAPON FOUND: Officers pulled over a vehicle for a bad headlight at 3 a.m. Friday. The driver and passenger acted suspiciously and were ordered from the car. John Gennis, 42, consented to a search of the vehicle. A pistol was located in the backseat under power tools with no clip but one-round in the chamber. Gennis, asked about the weapon said “if I had a fucking gun in the car I would apply for a pistol permit.” He was charged with criminal possession of a loaded firearm, a C felony.
