SHOOTING: Police responded to a man down at 5:31 a.m. Wednesday near 2432 Niagara St. A bicyclist said he had been shot. Police could locate no wound because the victim was heavily bundled. The victim was transported by AMR to Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital where 3 bullet wounds were found.
ABANDONED VEHICLE: Police located an abandoned vehicle on 1oth Street at about 10 a.m. Wednesday and ordered it towed.
ILLEGAL VEHICLE: Police on patrol near 1400 Main St. reported observing a vehicle being operated by Shayla Hood, 40, of 445 Elmwood Ave, driving with suspended plates, no insurance and unlicensed operation.
ILLEGAL VEHICLE: Police patrolling 7th Street at about 1:51 p.m. Wednesday observed a bad plate on a Jeep. They executed a traffic stop on the vehicle being driven by Eddie Lee Wilson, 55, of 808 Ashland Ave. who said “I’m not going to lie. I don’t have insurance.” Charges for Wilson included no insurance, unregistered operation and improper plates.
CHASE: Police attempted to pull over a vehicle for an unilluminated plate lamp at 9:25 p.m. Wednesday near 2304 Pine Ave. After a chase that took more than 10 minutes, William Welch, 51, of 2945 23rd St. was taken into custody. Charges included fleeing an officer, reckless endangerment, speeding, failure to signal, no inspection, unlicensed operation, aggravated unlicensed operation, moving from lane unsafely, failure to use designated lane, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, one way violation, passing a red light, failure to stop at a stopsign and failure to obey a traffic control device. Miraculously, there were no injuries or damages.
TRAILER TOWED: At 1 p.m. Tuesday, a 14-foot dump trailer was observed on 19th Street with an improper plate. Police were unable to id ownership and ordered it towed.
ILLEGAL MOTORCYCLE: At about 1:55 p.m. Tuesday, police pulled over a bike being operated by Justin M. Tillinghast near the Trott Center on 11th Street. He was charged with AUO, Operating with with a suspended license, no plates and no registration.
RIFLE: A 7/11 clerk triggered a hold up alarm after observing a man in the parking lot with a rifle at about 1:45 a.m. Wednesday on Pine Ave. Police immediately responded. No hold up occurred.
SLASHED TIRES: A Packard Court resident reported tires slashed on her vehicle at about 4:18 a.m. Wednesday.
GRAND LARCENY: Police responded to a Crescent Drive address for an incident of fraud. The resident ordered a new cell phone which never came. Instead, her credit card and bank account were hit for numerous instances of fraud.
TRESPASS: Police were called to 620 71st St. for a report of trespassers. Lawfully evicted tenants had broken in to retrieve belongings. Arrested on charges of criminal mischief and trespassing were Andrew Scrivani, 41 and Jennifer Scrivani, 34, both of 514 15th St. Lower. The incident occurred at 4:51 p.m. Monday.
DWI: Police observed a vehicle operating 45 mph in a 30 mph zone on Buffalo Avenue at about 6:50 p.m. Monday and executed a traffic stop. Jean Paul Bouchard, 40, of Seneca Street, Buffalo told officers he was late for a pool game and he had only consumed “three beers and one shot” at Foley’s. He was charged with speeding, no inspection, DWI first, and aggravated DWI. He passenger told officers Bouchard was not drunk. The suspect tested .20% BAC on chemical analysis.
LARCENY: A 20th Street resident reported Saturday afternoon the theft of 4 tires and a catalytic converter from a Jeep parked at the rental property.
CASH TAKEN: A Linwood Avenue resident reported someone smashed the rear window on her Kia and stole $800 early Tuesday morning.
PETIT LARCENY: Someone broke into a vehicle outside Quality Inn early Tuesday morning. A wallet containing debit cards and $250 in cash was taken.
