I chose to go to the Niagara Falls City Market car show Wednesday rather than the Gazette mayoral candidate debate.
Critical mass is gaining. Wednesday, there was another new vendor, Hanna Bee Bakes was offering delectable macarons from her shop in Depew. It was Hanna’s first time in the Falls since she and her husband moved here when he was called to pastor a church in West Seneca.
There were about 30 cars there as well and a couple of the new vendors added last season were back for more.
Standbys were there as well, like Shari Senek who was offering the season’s first strawberries, still $6 a pint.
Power City Eatery was there as well, offering Reuben sandwiches with freshly baked bread and homemade brisket.
The market is open from 8-3 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 779 East Market St. The next special event is an evening market from 3 to 8 p.m. next Wednesday.
Car shows are planned on July 19 and August 30.
