Victim dies, murder charged

32 year old Al Villane will be charged with second degree murder after the victim of a Sept. 19, 2022 stabbing died this morning.

Villane allegedly stabbed the 47-year old male victim during a confrontation inside an apartment building in the 700 block of 20th Street on September 19th. The male victim was rushed to ECMC with serious injuries and had been hospitalized since then. He succumbed to his injuries this morning.

Al Villane was arrested on September 19th and was initially charged with Assault in the 1st degree. Those charges will be upgraded to Murder in the 2nd degree.

Villane has been in custody since the stabbing and remains in custody pending further court proceedings.

Tuesday's Police Blotter

TIRES SLASHED: Tires were slashed on two vehicles parked at a motel on the 9500 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard on the Tuesday night overnight.

STORAGE RACKS TAKEN: Two men distracted a cashier at a Builders Way hardware store at about 4 p.m. Tuesday while a third left the store with a heavy duty cart upon which were loaded with 9 storage racks valued at about $2,000 that had not been paid for.

DOG STOLEN: A resident of the 1000 block of 20th Street reported someone broke into her apartment and stole her 10 month old American bulldog. The dog is tan and brown with white markings and white dots on its tale. The resident has extensive history with a currently incarcerated suspect she believes is behind the theft.
