UNREGISTERED: Police on patrol on Highland Avenue about 7 p.m. Monday were alerted to improper plates by a plate reader and executed a traffic stop at 11th Street and South Avenue. The driver, a Niagara Falls Boulevard resident, admitted he just bought the vehicle. He was charged with no insurance, no registration, unlicensed operation and improper plates.
CARWASH HARASSMENT: A man pulling into Delta Sonic at about 4:45 p.m. Monday beeped his horn at two men engaged in an argument and blocking the entrance. One of the suspects took offense, allegedly said “do you want me to break your teeth” and then threatened him with a knife. The victim called police who knew the suspect from previous interaction and took him into custody on a charge of menacing with a weapon.
IMPROPER PLATES: At 7 p.m. Wednesday, a Royal Avenue resident operating on Niagara Street was stopped and charged with operating with improper plates because the single plate on the Suzuki came back to a Malibu.
ONLY ONE PLATE: Officers patrolling Pine Avenue observed a vehicle operating with only one plate and ran the plates at about 5:40 p.m. Tuesday. The driver, a Norwood Avenue resident, was charged with no insurance, single plate and no inspection.
STABBING: At about 9:23 p.m. Tuesday, police were called to 1055 Cleveland Avenue where a man reported he was standing by the east side of 1 Stop when someone approached him and struck him in the face before running away. The suspect is not known. The victim suffered a laceration.
PETIT LARCENY: At about 5 p.m. Wednesday, at Dollar General on Niagara Falls Boulevard, store personnel observed a man in a red scooter driving through the store while a companion stashed goods in bags on the scooter. The scooter driver, a Linwood Avenue resident, and his companion, who live on North Avenue were both charged with petit larceny. Items valued at $75.67 were recovered.
