ASSAULT: Police were called to a Woodlawn Avenue address at 10:52 a.m. Wednesday for a report of an assault. A victim said she had visited the home to retrieve a phone when she was attacked by a woman and punched in the head repeatedly. After a tense exchange, a resident of the address was taken into custody. She was charged with assault.
PETIT LARCENY: Police were called to Dollar General at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday for a report of petit larceny. A Portage Road resident attempted to leave the store without paying for merchandise valued at $101 and was taken into custody on a charge of petit larceny.
TRESPASS: Police were called to GJ Mann Elementary for a report of a trespasser. The suspect, a resident of Marine Memorial Drive, had been banned from the premises for diving at an unsafe speed and smoking marijuana on school property. He is no longer allowed on school property and was charged with criminal trespass.
