The owners of the popular tourist attraction Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours are suing New York state and the village of Lewiston.
The owners, under the subsidiary Niagara Gorge Jet Boating Ltd., claim the state granted water lots, in which their docks sit on, to the previous owners of the property nearly 200 years ago.
They are also asking for the village of Lewiston, which has an easement to run the facility, to return rent payments and taxes — with that dollar amount surpassing the $500,000 mark.
The state Office of General Services said they do not comment on pending litigation. The village of Lewiston has declined to comment.
Sunny, with a high of 47 and low of 18 degrees. Sunny in the morning, partly cloudy in the afternoon and evening, clear overnight.
Very nicely done
"Rules for thee but not for me".....all one has to do is read the city charter to see how this administration has no respect for it. How can a person be an employee, as defined by NY department of labor, but not be considered as an employee by this administration?
I am surprised but can attest that some holes were patched already. Can we celebrate small accomplishments on this page?
