Niagara Falls Police Blotter

SHOPLIFTING: Two men with the same last name, one with a 6th Street residence and one with a 7th Street residence were arrested at 6:19 p.m. Saturday attempting to leave Walmart without paying for goods valued at $540. Both were charged with petit larceny. One suspect said “I do not have a receipt. I am stealing. I am broke.”

FALSE PERSONATION: Lat Saturday night a vehicle was observed traveling erratically near 6500 Niagara Falls Boulevard. Police executed a traffic stop. The driver, asked her name, began to spell “SHA” and then said “Maria Robertson.” Police didn’t believe her but she would not provide ID. The driver was taken into custody and identified by a license found in her purse as a Michigan Avenue resident. She was charged with resisting arrest and false personation.

TRESPASSING: At about 4:30 p.m. Friday, a 92nd Street resident previously banned from Walmart was observed in the store. She was escorted to the asset protection office and, despite saying “can you just give me a warning, I’ve been good” was charged with criminal trespass.
