PETIT LARCENY: At Walmart at about 5 p.m. Thursday, a Buffalo woman was observed concealing video games in her bag and then taking them into a changing room where she wrapped them in foil and attempted to leave without paying for $109.24. The foil is thought to be used to bypass theft detection devices. She was charged with petit larceny.

BURGLARY: At 3:47 a.m. Monday, police were called to Hyde Park 7/11 where a worker reported a male had jumped over the counter, stolen items and fled on a bike. Police found the alleged thief pedaling his bike at Ontario and 24th. The suspect headed into an alley but gave himself up. He had allegedly stolen 11 packs of Newport cigarettes valued at $177.01.

BURGLARY: Police were called to 4308 Lewiston Road at 7:38 p.m. Saturday for a burglary in progress after a homeowner, viewing security cameras, reported observing an unknown male in the detached garage. Police took the suspect into custody and confiscated a quantity of rolled and loose coin he had allegedly pilfered as well as a set of house keys. The suspect was charged with burglary. The report listed his address as “homeless.”
