Board of Education summary

The Niagara Falls City School District Board of Education met on Thursday, December 11, 2025 for an Agenda Review Meeting.

Superintendent of Schools, Mark Laurrie, presented the following short-term contracts and resolutions for approval at the Board’s voting meeting set for December 18, 2025:

Short-Term Contracts:

• Enhance Restorative Practices at Hyde Park School

• Curriculum Training for iReady Math

• Nine short-term contracts for Say Yes, NF Saturday Academies

Resolutions:

• Acceptance of $10,575,788 in grant funding

• Approval of Polling Sites for the May 19, 2026, School Board Elections and Budget Vote

• A contract for use of the Niagara Community Center by the District

• A resolution approving a Type II Declaration of an Environmental Quality Review Negative Impact.

The Superintendent also announced:

• The next Say Yes, NF Saturday Academy will be held at Bloneva Bond Primary School on Saturday, December 13, 2025.

• The district will host a New York State Robotics Tournament at Niagara Falls High School on Saturday, January 31, 2026.

• The district Greenhouse, located at Bloneva Bond Primary School, is open for instruction.

• H.F. Abate has a record of 196 students involved in their music program

• Niagara Falls High School Grade 9 student Blair Bilson has a song debuting on Spotify and YouTube

The next meeting of the Niagara Falls City School District Board of Education will be on Thursday, December 18th, 2025 at 5:30 p.m.
