I have been drinking.” As the suspect attempted to exit the vehicle, the officer had to prop him up. As the officer tried to pat him down for weapons or drugs, the suspect said “Yeah I got all the guns and drugs. Come on, take me to the police station. Fuck all this.” The suspect then became hostile and tried to push past officers. He was cuffed and placed in the back of a car for safety. With the suspect safely contained, police went to his vehicle to find his ID and observed the handle of a white handgun protruding from under the front seat. Police then observed a second gun inside the center console as well as a spent casing on the driver’s seat. A third firearm and 5 more shell casings were located under the driver’s seat. Officers asked the suspect if he had a permit for the weapons. The suspect asked “do you have a stupid permit?” and asked for a lawyer. Police ceased questions. The weapons were 9 mm, an SCCY CPX, a Taurus G2C and a Kel-Tec P11 with the serial number defaced. The suspect refused a breathalyzer and field sobriety tests.
