DWI: Police stopped a Grand Avenue man at 24th Street and Pine Avenue at 12:29 a.m. Tuesday after observing a Cadillac driving without its lights on. The driver was charged with DWI, driving with an open container and no lights. Two Corona Tallboys were in the car.
PETIT LARCENY: A 61st Street resident was charged with petit larceny at about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday after allegedly attempting to push a cart filled with $334 of groceries out of Tops Niagara Falls Boulevard without paying.
ASSAULT: Police were called to the area of 400 9th Street at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday for a report of an assault with a knife. An out-of-control suspect was in the middle of the street yelling “I ain’t fucking doing this!” Officers asked him to calm down. He refused. A Taser assisted him in complying. He was charged with assault and resisting arrest. The victim suffered stab wounds to the face and back.
