SHOPLIFTING: Two males were stopped outside Walmart at about 3:15 Monday and charged with petit larceny for taking items including a stuffed bear and DVD.

JUMPED: A man reported he was approached by a gang of 5 at about 7:15 p.m. Monday in the 800 block of 16th Street and asked if he was someone he was not. The group knocked him to the ground, kicking and punching him. He returned home and woke up his mother who brought him to the Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital for treatment.

STOLEN VEHICLE: A resident of the 1900 block of Whitney Avenue reported he parked his Denali in the nalley in front of his garage Friday night and Saturday morning it was gone. Neighbor’s camera showed the vehicle being driven away at about 11:30 p.m. Friday.

THEFT: A visitor staying at La Quinta on Niagara Falls Boulevard reported someone stole a satchel containing $2,400 sometime during the day Friday.

SUSPENDED VEHICLE: An officer on patrol at 19th and Ferry spotted a vehicle he knew to be uninsured and uninspected and conducted a traffic stop a short distance away at about 7:52 p.m. Sunday. The driver, a 22nd Street resident, was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, driving with a suspended registration, driving with an expired registration, no insurance and failure to signal. The vehicle was towed.
