Niagara Falls Police Blotter

SHOPLIFTER: Police were called to Target at about 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24 for a report of a shoplifter. A 30th St. woman, 39, was charged with petit larceny for allegedly attempting to take items valued at $158.95 without paying.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Police were called to an address in the 700 block of 19th Street for an unwanted party at about 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24. A 19th Street resident, 29, was being pointed at by several young people who were saying “he needs to leave.” The young man appeared intoxicated and did not live at the residence. When police asked him to leave, he responded “suck my dick”. As he was escorted from the residence, he allegedly yelled “fuck” and “pussy” and blocked traffic. He was charged with disorderly conduct, obstructing traffic and disorderly conduct, obscene language.

TRAFFIC STOP: An automatic plate reader alerted police to a vehicle with a suspended registration traveling on Willow Avenue at about 10:25 a.m. Sunday. A 63-year old Ontario Avenue resident was charged with no registration, no insurance and driving with a suspended license.

TRAFFIC STOP: Police patrolling Pine Avenue observed a vehicle with a fake Maryland license plate at about 12:05 p.m. Sunday and executed a traffic stop. The driver said she “bought the car from a guy who drove it from Maryland” and she “cashapp’d” him payment. The vehicle had a fake/temporary Maryland plate which was seized. The driver was charged with no inspection, unregistered, improper license, no insurance and improper plates.

LARCENY: A resident of the 1400 block of 18th Street reported her Amazon package valued at about $50 was stolen off her porch at about 3:30 p.m. Sunday. She showed police the video. Police knew the suspect, a 49-year-old Linwood Avenue resident, tracked him down and charged him with petit larceny.

TRAFFIC STOP: Police observed a woman talking on her phone while driving on Niagara Falls Boulevard at about 10:36 p.m. Wednesday. The suspect, a 46-year-old Falls woman was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant.

FIGHT: Officers were called to Portage Road Tops for a report of a fight. Two men were brawling. One pulled a knife. A security guard pepper sprayed both which ended the fight. No charges were reported.

PREMISE CHECK: Police observed activity at a long-vacant Cleveland Avenue address shortly after midnight last Saturday after observing activity at the home which has been used by squatters. While approaching the home, they observed people with hoods up moving a mattress upstairs. A woman came downstairs and told police she had just purchased the home.
