Shout with the sea lions
The Buffalo Bills are gearing up for an AFC Championship showdown, and the California sea lions at the Aquarium of Niagara are getting in on the action with a special send-off for the hometown team.
During brand-new “Sea Lion Shout!” presentations, the Aquarium’s three California sea lions will demonstrate their athletic prowess to a soundtrack of beloved Buffalo Bills hype songs, including Mr. Brightside and Shout (The Buffalo Bills Fight Song). It’s the perfect way for fans of all ages to rally behind the Bills ahead of the big game while also enjoying the wonders of the aquatic world.
The Aquarium’s animal care specialists will be on-hand to describe the unique adaptations that make sea lions such impressive athletes – they can hurdle as well as Josh Allen, return a football like Khalil Shakir, and outpace James Cook’s 20 mph 16-yard touchdown run against the Broncos. Visitors will also get an inside look at how positive reinforcement training harnesses these incredible natural behaviors and helps these animals thrive under human care.
The sea lions will be performing to Bills-themed music at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. today and Sunday at the Aquarium on Whirlpool Street.
