United Way chooses where funds will go

United Way of Greater Niagara has announced the allocation of funding for the fiscal year 2025. The diverse range of agencies that were selected by the Community Care Committee and align with United Way’s mission to support youth programs that positively impact social, emotional, and mental development.

Funded Agencies for 2025:

• Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northtowns

• Community Missions of Niagara Frontier

• Family & Friends Down Syndrome Association

• Girls Scouts of Western New York

• Kenan Center

• Niagara Falls Boys & Girls Club

• Niagara Aquarium Foundation

• Parachute

• Pinnacle Community Services

• Salvation Army Tonawandas

• Western New York Scout Council

• Youth Mentoring Services

• YWCA of the Niagara Frontier

“This year’s application process, as in year’s past, was incredibly competitive and highlighted many of the great programs and services we have here in Niagara County,” said Andrea Gray, President & CEO, United Way of Greater Niagara.

“While the need is high, resources to meet those needs are finite, but we are committed to continuing to raise funds to effectively support as many programs as possible, and as a part of our ongoing evolution, are always exploring new methods to meet these needs,” said Gray.

With applications opening again in May 2025, United Way encourages all agencies whose mission aligns with ours to apply.

“For agencies who applied this year and were unsuccessful, we appreciate you and all that you do for Niagara County,” said Gray.

“As we move forward with funding this year’s agencies, we would also like to recognize the people, businesses, schools, and organizations who support our campaign. Your generosity is integral to our ability to support youth-based services, and the money donated stays right here in Niagara County.”

In addition, United Way of Greater Niagara also offers financial support to many local agencies through the Martha Beeman Foundation and the federal Emergency Food and Shelter Program. For more information, please visit www.uwgn.org.
