Misty Guild coffee shop opens

Misty Guild has struck a new tune in the space formerly occupied by Daredevil Records at 324 Niagara St.

Anthony and Crystal Dabrowski are the primary operators of the new coffee shop with help from Marlies and Joe Borzinski. Hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day but Tuesday and Wednesday.

Offerings include a full array of coffee drinks, teas and house made baked goods.

They have been “soft open” for a few days now. The food prep space is new but the lighting, jukebox and some furniture remains.

Anthony Dabrowski said his goal is for the shop to be a gathering place where friends can gather, read books, play games and hang out

Dabrowski said he’s looking for book donations as well as board games.

The name came from Dabrowski’s desire to brand things as “Misty” as in the waterfall and “Guild” as a group of people gathered with common purpose.  Dobrowski hopes to see "Misty" become a brand of sorts, forming a guild among like-minded entrepreneurs.

Small businesses need to support each other. Misty Guild joins other businesses open on that section of Niagara Street over the last couple years including an art gallery next door, a skin care company, Halal Street Cafe and Tugby’s Bazaar.
