Mark Burnett took a failed businessman, built a TV studio inside long-vacant, over-priced Manhattan real estate and created a character who could lie, cheat and steal his way to President. The bloom is off the rose. Reality TV productions are down 50% and voters are wondering why their taxes were never cut, what happened during “infrastructure week” and how come health care didn’t get fixed.
