It used to be the jerk getting just enough facts right to offend everyone but sometimes make a point, Jimmy Breslin, Mike Royko, Mike Hudson.
Those days died with John Celestino, neutered by the political correctness of corporate journalism, governed more by profits than exposes, sending money to CNHI or Lee Enterprises and not giving a crap about journalism.
Outlets like Fourbites, Investigative Post and Niagara Express fight on but the real swagger of well-protected journalists grinding to make right against might has died with a whimper.
